(Continued from Page 36)
Woodward in Bloomfield
Hills is the site Wednesday
and Thursday noons for
those fashion shows by Leah
Marks . . . in the traditional
friendly manner for which
she is noted.
Last week, Leah and Lois
Pershin showed garments
in two dining rooms during
lunch . . . explained the
materials, fashions and
prices . . . plus answering
whatever questions were
posed to them . . . and smil-
ing to the age-old one by
men, "Do you come with the
clothes?"
Leah and Lois floated
among luncheon diners
with designer styles from
Bloomer Lingerie in Hun-
ters Square and Metro Stop
on Maple and Telegraph .. .
Leah will have a men's and
women's fashion show at
Kingsley Inn . . . 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 16.
Our luncheon waitress at
Kingsley, • Annie Osborne,
was so very personable .. .
smiling and efficient.
GIVE THE KIDS a big
hand . . . better still, do it in
person . . . you won't be
sorry.
Two guys and two gals .. .
plus a pianist and percus-
sionist . . . do the excellent
musical revue, "According
to John/Paul" Fridays and
Saturdays, 9 p.m. . . .
downstairs in the Grease
Pit Theater at Doug's Body
Shop on Woodward between
Eight and Nine Mile . . .
featuring the more theatri-
cal words and lyrics of
former Beatles stars, John
Lennon and Paul
McCartney.
The poise, presentation
and extraordinary talents
by John L. Beem, Gary De-
Var, Flora McIntyre and
Laurie Meeker are integral
parts of a fast-paced produc-
tion that includes comedy,
song styling, vaudeville hat
and cane, black light mime,
mask, torch songs and light
jazz harmonies . . . written,
directed and choreographed
by Walter Kozicki and pro-
duced by Stage Right Prod-
uctions.
Every segment of the
fine musical revue has
big audience appeal .. .
with solos, duets and
foursomes in a smooth-
flowing stage presenta-
tion without lapse ... and
with much polish.
"According To John/
Paul" at Doug's Body Shop
seems to bring their music
to life . . . with much expres-
sion and feeling . . . People
will recognize some of their
songs . . . like "Michelle,"
"Yesterday" and others.
The cast exudes much
professionalism .. . as it
presents singing accom-
panied by synchronized
animation and variety.
They do justice to the
greatness of -John Lennon
and Paul McCartney . . . in
a wonderful family offering
that is complete entertain-
ment from beginning to end.
THE MYSTERY
MUNCHER WRITES .. .
"The other night we enjoyed
reading 'The Doug's Body

Shop Story' on the menu.
"Opened in 1974, Doug
Diehl, then owner of
Minser's Collision, decided
to preserve a corner of
Motor City heritage by es-
tablishing his innovative
restaurant and museum of
the auto industry.
"At Doug's you can start
your engines with thick,
creamy seafood chowder,
tune up with deep fried
mushrooms, zucchini strips
or cauliflower and enjoy
Mexican low riders like
nachos, chili or stuffed
potato with spiced ground
beef and bubbling cheese.
"A variety of hamburger
combinations are dubbed
`Beautiful Grillwork' and
`More Beautiful Grillwork'
includes pita bread stuffed
with ground beef, tomatoes,
onions, alfalfa sprouts,
grated cheese and sour
cream.
You can order seafood or
chicken supreme crepes or
take a Wok' on the wild side
with chicken or beef stir-fry
or a combination of both.
Carrot cake, parfait, fresh
fruit pie or homemade
cheesecake are fitting ends
to your dinner."

One Bite and you'll agree..

niquely Irresistible

U

nique because that sensational flavor is our own. It's all natural.
Bar-B-Q sauces, sugars, etc. are never applied before or during the cooking
process. Just natural herbs and spices. You're served within minutes of their
removal from our exclusive radiant heat ovens—when they're at their savory
best—they're never allowed to be refrigerated and then reheated days later.
For those who like to add sauce, two types, a hot and a mild, are at the table,
truly a culinary masterpiece acclaimed by noted gourmets.

I rresistible

because once you've tasted our meats the
flavor will haunt you. The ribs are thick with meat—tender and bursting with
juices. The "soft scald" chickens have the "good ole days" flavor. The sliced
turkey glistens with moisture. The beef briskets are tender and the bar-b-quing
seals the juices and flavor in. Len Barnes and the Free Press' Annonymous
Gourmet called our chili the city's best— made Texas style with large chunks of
beef.

Eith er wa

now our ribs may be ordered eitherway—our

ribs.
