Competition for Blind
Writers of the Jewish
Braille Institute of America
has been announced by the
institute in its continuing
effort to expand oppor-
tunities for blind persona,
according to Dr. Jane
Evans, institute president.
There are $9,000 in prizes.
She said deadline for
entries, which must be
typed in English and
double-spaced, is Feb. 28.

1/3 cup Parkay margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1% cups flour
3 8-oz. pkgs. Philadelphia
Brand cream cheese
34 cup sugar
2 tbsps. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 tbsps. milk
1 10-oz. jar Kraft strawberry
preserves
Cream margarine and sugar
until light and fluffy. Blend in 1
egg. Add flour; mix well.
Spread onto bottom and 11/2
inches high around sides of
9-inch springform pan. Bake at
450 degrees, 5 minutes. •
Combine softened cream
cheese, -sugar, flour and van-
illa, mixing at medium speed
on electric mixer until well
blended. Add 3 eggs, one at a
time, mixing well atter each
addition. Blend In milk; pour
into crust. Bake at 450 de-
grees, 10 minutes. Reduce
oven temperature to 250 de-
grees; continue baking 25
minutes. Loosen cake from
rim of pan; cool before remov-
ing rim of pan. Chill. Spread
with preserves.

2 tbsps. flour
1 10-oz. pkg. frozen chopped
spinach, cooked, drained
1 cup milk
3 eggs, beaten

1 9-Inch unbaked pastry shell
Toss cheese with flour. Add
spinach, milk, eggs and sea-
