Nitzanim, age 3-4 will
meet 1 p.m. Sunday and
youth age 5 - 7 will meet at 3
p.m. to learn about Shabat.

Marc Gould president at its
recent election meeting.
Other officers are: Vice
President in charge of So-
cials, Seth Himelhoch; Vice
President in charge of Cul-
tural Activities, Jon Cohen;
Secretary, Danny Kasoff.
Joel Portnoy, Debbie Golds-
tein and Rennee Himelhoch
were elected kibutz chair-

JIFY will meet 9 a.m.
Sunday for a minyan. Dr.

The William Beaumont
Hospitals in Royal Oak and
Troy will offer free blood
screening tests for diabetes
today at Beaumont
Hospital-Troy from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. today in the out-
patient laboratory on the
hospital's main floor. -
Tests at Beaumont Hospi-
tal - Royal Oak will be con-
ducted between 9 a.m. and 6
p.m. today in the Adminis-
trative Services Building.
Testing is limited to per-
sons over 18 not known to
have diabetes. Persons who
are over 40, overweight and
related to diabetics run a
high risk of developing the
disease.
Pre-registration is not
required, but anyone
who wants test results
sent to his doctor should
bring the doctor's name
and address.
To ensure accurate re-
sults,persons coming for
the screening are advised to
eat a full, carbohydrate-rich
meal — high in starch and
sugar- — two hours before
the test.

the division's annual
awards meeting.
New officers are: Edward
Gordon, chairman; Jeffrey

bom, treasury gifts; and Ar-
thur S. Goldberg, Super
Sunday telethon.

At the recent annual
meeting of the board of di-
rectors of the Jewish Feder-
ation Apartments, Sheldon
P. Winkelman was elected
president of the agency.
Other officers are: Vice
Presidents, Joseph Garson,
Michael Perlman, Dr. Her-
shel Sandberg; Secretary,
Mrs. Rose L. Greenberg;
Assistant Secretary,
Emanuel Feinberg; Trea-
surer, Joel Gershenson;
Assistant Treasurer, Isa-
dore Silverman.
New board members
elected for a three-year
term are: Tillie Brandwine,
Emanuel Feinberg, Joel
Gershenson, Miriam Mon-
dry, Michael Perlman, Neil
Satovsky, Isadore Silver-
man, Leah Snider.
Winkelman has been a
board member of the JFA
since 1975, and vice
president in 1980-1981.
He is a member of the

Mark Schlussel was
chairman of the nominating

the Israeli community of
Detroit 8:30 p.m. Saturday
at the main Jewish Com-
munity Center.
The evening, entitled
"Erev Betzafta," will fea- '
ture entertainment, slide
presentation, dancing, so-
cial mixers and refresh-
ments.
