at Technion Society Dinner

The Detroit Chapter of
American Technion Society
will devote part of its 33rd
annual dinner to special
recognition of the evolving
continuity of support for Is-
rael's Technion by Detroit's
Jewish community "from
generation to generation,"
announced Chapter
President Louis Milgrom, a
member of ATS's national
board.
A feature of the dinner,
scheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 8
at Adat Shalom Synagogue,
will be the presentation of
honor scrolls to three De-

Ponts Celebrate
50th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Phillip
(Goldie) Pont of Oak Park
celebrated their 50th wed-
ding anniversary at a
dinner party at the Hyatt
Regency Hotel.
The party was given by
their children, Dr. and Mrs.
Nelson (Norma) Pont and
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
(Janet) Pont and six
grandchildren.
Mr. Pont was in restau-
rant sales for 40 years prior
to retirement. He is active
at Cong. Bnai Moshe, where
he has been affiliated many
years.
Mrs. Pont has been an
active member of Pioneer
Women for more than 25
years and is affiliated with
other communal organiza-
tions.
