Hadassah Education Day Among
Special Activities at Book Fair

The 30th annual Jewish
Book Fair sponsored by the
Jewish Community Center
and many local communal
organizations will feature
as the Hadassah Education
Day speaker Nov. 17 Leona
Blair, author of"A Woman's
Place."
Ms. Blair, whose topic
will be ."Is It Just the Hand
That Rocks the Cradle," will
give her talk at 10 a.m.
A native of New York,
Ms. Blair is a Phi Beta
Kappa graduate of Smith
College. She lived several
years on the French Rivi-
era, where she edited
English-language news-
papers for French-speaking
countries.
Neugeboren,
Jay
author of "The Stolen
Jew," will speak at 10
a.m. Nov. 18 on "Can You
Steal a Jew." His talk is
sponsored by Akiva He-
brew Day School PTA,
Hillel Day School PTO
and the United Hebrew
Schools Woman's Auxil-
iary.
Neugeboren is the author
of four novels.
At 10:30 a.m. Nov. 22,
Sylvia Rothchild, author of
"Voices from the Holocaust"
will speak on "After the Si-
lence."

the 8-year-old Seymour
sang at the White House
before President
Coolidge in English, Ita-
lian and Yiddish. Rexsite
has since acted and pro-
duced numerous Yiddish
theater shows and
pioneered in Yiddish
radio. Ms. Kressyn and

Rexsite have produced,
hosted and starred in
programs on WEVD for
more than 40 years.
They have been instru-
mental in establishing the
Yiddish National Theater,
which opened in 1980.

Born in Bialystok and
educated in Boston, Ms.
Kressyn has sung her way
through Yiddish operettas
since age 13. She has played

Skulnik, and has starred in
European and American-
