Zuckerman, who re-
turned two days earlier
from an important mis-
sion in South Africa, and
who is in continuous con-
tact with Israel's gov-
ernment leaders, em-
phasized that MDA's
needs are as varied for
that nation's peace time
health services as they
also are in time of stress.
He said that Israel's
needs are well served by the
increasing number of MDA
chapters in this country, the
Michigan group being
among the, leader in that
field of activities.
Mrs. Hardburgel- spoke of
her association with the
movement as a continua-
tion of Zionist pioneering
established by her father
and the Lachman family.
An outline of Michigan _
MDA activities was pre-
sented by co-chairman of
the Nov. 7 dinner, Dr. Nor-
man A. Segal. His co-
chairman, Louis Silverfarb,
reported that there are
marked increases in MDA
enrollments and contribu-
tions in this area.
Silverfarb announced
that' in addition to the
generous gifts already
recorded, two additional
ambulances are being fi-
nanced here for shipment
to MDA in Israel.
Zuckerman was intro-
duced by the co-host of the
gathering, Nathan Fink,
who expressed appreciation
for communal services of
the guest speaker.
Mrs. Harvey Beaver will
preside at the MDA dinner
program Nov. 7.
Dr. John Mames, chair-
man of the Michigan MDA
chapter, stated that reser-
vations for the Nov. 7
dinner still are available by
