Sinai Appointments Are Announced

Margaret Moore Gorman
was named clinical director
of nursing for perinatology
and gynecology at Sinai
Hospital of Detroit. In this
position, she is administra-
tively responsible for labor
and delivery, post partum
units and the nursery.
Prior to coming to Sinai,
she was a staff nurse in the
neonatal intensive care unit
at Hutzel Hospital. In addi-
tion, she served on the
faculties of Wayne State
University and the Univer-
sity of Michigan.
Mrs. Gorman received a
Bachelor of Science degree
from Montana State Uni-
versity, a nursing degree
from Macomb County
Community College, and a
Master of Science degree in
nursing from Wayne State
University.

She holds member-
ships in various profes-
sional organizations in-
cluding: the American
Nurses' Association; the
Nurses Association of the
American College of
Obstetricians and
Gynecologists; and the
Perinatal Association of
Michigan.

caring for high risk
mothers.

certified in maternal-
fetal medicine in addition
to the standard specialty
training in obstetrics and
gynecology.

He served on the staff of
the University of Nebraska
Hospital and was clinical
associate professor in the
department of obstetrics
and gynecology at the Uni-
versity of Nebraska College
of Medicine.
Author of numerous pro-
fessional publications, Dr.
Goldkrand completed his
obstetrics and gynecology
training at Yale New
Haven Hospital as well as
having an internship and
resident training at First
(Tufts) Surgical Service in
Boston City Hospital. He
earned his medical degree
from Tufts University
School of Medicine and his
undergraduate degree from

DR. JOHN GOLDKRAND
nounced the appointment of
Dr. John Goldkrand,
perinatologist, to head a
• new service at Sinai. As Di-
rector of Perinatal Service,
Dr. Goldkrand will be re-
sponsible for establishing
and directing the manage-
ment of prenatal evaluation
services at the hospital.
In an effort to serve any-
one needing prenatal test-
ing.or counseling Sinai will
serve as a regional referral
center. Physicians who
have reason for concern for
the welfare of the mother or
unborn child due to family
histsries of complicated
births or known maternal or
fetal problems, are
encouraged to r'fer patients
to Sinai for testing.
Dr. Goldkrand will be in-
volved with the three-story
Harry and Fann Srere and
Sons Perinatal Center,
scheduled to open at Sinai
next year. The complex will
house a separate inpatient
section for high risk
mothers and will staff nurs-
