Baked Whitefish

1 3- to 4-lb. whitefish, pan-
dressed
Y. cup Parkay margarine,
melted
Creamy Dill Sauce
Place fish on well-greased
broiler pan; brush with mar-
garine. Bake at 450 degrees
until fish flakes easily with
fork. Serve with:

cup Kraft real mayonnaise
Y2 cup dairy sour cream
Y3 cup shredded cucumber,
well-drained
1 /2 tsp. dill weed
Combine ingredients; mix
well. Chill. Makes 6 to 8 serv-
ings. Note: When baking, broil-
ing or poaching fish, allow 10
to 12 minutes cooking time per
inch thickness for fresh or
thawed fish. Allow , 20 to 24
minutes per Inch thickness for
frozen fish.

1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup honey
4 egs
3 /4 tsp. Instant coffee granules
1 cup water
31/4 cups flour
116 taps. baking pow'cler
1 tsp. baking soda
Y2 tsp. cinnamon
Y2 tsp. allspice
Y. tsp. ground cloves
Cream margarine and sugar
until light and fluffy. Add
honey and eggs; beat well.
Dissolve coffee In water. Add
combined dry Ingredients to
creamed mixture alternately
with coffee mixture, mixing
well after each addition. Pour

Kraft Kitchens has created recipes for a baked
whitefish dinner and the accoutrements. Among the
kosher recipes, using such Kraft products as Parkay
margarine, Kraft real mayonnaise and Kraft orange
marmalade, are baked whitefish, creamy dill sauce,
carrot tsimmes, honey cake and herring salad ap-
petizer.

1 lb. carrots, sliced
Y4 cup water
Y2 cup Kraft orange marmalade
2 tbsps. Parkay margarine
1 tbsp. lemon Juice
Y. tsp. salt
Combine carrots and water
in saucepan. Cover; cook 20
minutes or until crisp-tender.
Stir In remaining Ingredients.
Cook, uncovered, 15 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Makes 6
servings.

Appetizer

1 12-oz. jar herring in wine
sauce, drained
1 cup chopped apple
1 /4 cup chopped green onion
2 hard-cooked eggs
Y2 cup Kraft real mayonnaise
Party rye or pumpernickel
bread slices
Chopped parsley
Dairy sour cream

Cut herring Into 16-Inch
pieces. Combine herring,
apple and green onion. Chop
egg whites; sieve yolks. Add
egg whites and mayonnaise to
herring mixture; mix lightly.
Chill. Serve with bread slices.
Top with sieved yolks, parsley
and sour cream as desired.
Yield: approximately 2 cups.
