Detroiters Plant Trees in Israel ,
to Memorialize Deceased Kin

Two Detroit families were
in Israel recently to dedi-
cate groves and woodlands
in memory of deceased rela-
tives.
A woodland in memory of
Leon Weberman has been
planted in the Bnai Brith
Albert Einstein Lodge and
Chapter Forest within the
Bnai Brith Martyrs' Forest.
The woodland was funded
by the lodge, of which Mr.
Weberman was once
president, and by his wife,
Freda, and by friends.
Attending the dedication
were Mrs. Weberman, and
relatives who live in Israel:
Mrs. Weberman's sister,
Miriam Ben Nachum; and

Y4 cup lemon juice
2 tsp. sugar
Y2 tsp. salt
V. tsp. pepper
Y2 tsp. cumin
Y2 tsp. garlic powder

and let stand from several
hours to several days in re-
frigerator. A couple of hours
before serving, mix the veget-
ables with the dressing and let
them marinate. if you are not
planning to serve for more
than 2 hours, refrigerate until
serving. Serves 8.
