BNAI DAVID youth will
meet for Shabat services
beginning Sept. 12 at 10
a.m.
Story Hour (age 4-6) will
be led by Joyce Lang. Ac-
tivities include Shabat
stories, games, puppets and
a youth kidush.
Junior congregation will
be divided into three sec-
tions: Grades three and

four, Barbara Ravitz, ad-

viser; Grades five and six,
Ruth Moss, adivser; Grades
seven and eight, Gail
Nachman, adviser. Activi-
ties for these age groups will
include Shabat services,
discussions and a youth
kidush.
Atid (age 14-17) will
conduct their own
weekly Shabat services.

ticipating in these serv-

Talit and Tefilin, led by
Zolman Rube, for boys and
girls ages 12 1/2-17 will meet
weekly beginning Sept. 13
at 9 a.m. for services, break-
fast and bowling at Ark
Lanes West.
A special ice cream social
will be held Sept. 13 at 1:30
p.m. in the synagogue for
children age 4-13 and their
parents.
Rosh Hashana services
are scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
Sept. 28 and 29 in the
synagogue for all age
groups. Anyone interested
in participating in the serv-
ices should contact Mrs. Be-

ter awards. Chapters re-
ceiving the Henry Monsky
Award were: Theodor
Herzl AZA of Windsor and
Gen. Maurice Rose AZA.
Named to the Miriam Al-
bert Chapter Honor Roll
were Er#ni BBG, Dr. B. Be-
&diet Glazer BBG, Dora
Savage BBG, Shalom Aviv
BBG and Yachad BRG of
Windsor.
Michigan Region was
recognized: for giving the
second highest contribution
in the nation to the Interna-
tional Service Fund for both
AZA and BBG. The AZAs
gave $3,500 and the BBGs
gave $3,400. Rose AZA re-
ceived two first place
awards, one for the chapter
giving the most to ISF
($1,638) and the second for
the chapter giving the most
to ISF per member ($29.25).

Michigan Region also
was recognized as first
place recipient in five in-
ternational program of
the year catagories. The
Great Lakes BBG Coun-
cil won both for its
BBG/BBW program, "A
Family Celebration," and
for its "Get-Out-the-Vote
Drive" last fall.
'''The Great Lakes AZA
Council won for its "Leader-
ship for the Future" pro-
gram, and the AZA and
BBG Councils jointly were
recognized for their "BBYO
Week" program last March.
In addition, Yachad BBG
and Jolson AZA won for
their joint Tu b'Shevat Tree
Hunt Program.

The voice of conscience is
so delicate that it is easy to
stifle it; but it is also so clear
that it is impossible to mis-
