graduated from the Univer-
sity of Michigan School of
Business Administration.

Sunday with the dedication
of the Frankel Haverim
Home at 25219 Kingshire in
Southfield.
Stimulated by the activi-
ties of the Jewish Associa-
tion for Retarded Citizens,
four such homes are now in
operation.
The Kingshire home was
re-named the Frankel
Haverim Home at the cere-
monies last Sunday- in
recognition of Samuel and
Jean Frankel who made ac-
quisition of the home possi-
ble.

increased support for the
movement and
encouragement to the
JARC will come forth as
a result of the examples
for creativity provided
by the residents of the
four homes already in
operation.

At the dedication pro-
gram, Joyce Keller, execu-
tive director of the JARC,
pointed to the achievements
of the Frankel Haverim
Home, and introduced the
residents who shared in
planning the open house
dedication. She expressed
thanks to the staff, notably
Tom and Sherry
Schamante, supervisors of

the Frankel Haverim
Home.
Bill Miller, a senior resi-
dent in the Frankel Home,
spoke on behalf of the resi-
dents, welcoming the par-
ents and guests.
The impressive ceremony
was marked by the affixing
of the mezuza by Reuben
Domnitch, who recited the
traditional prayer in He-
brew and in English, and
Martin Steiner. Both also
played piano selections, in-
cluding the playing of the
national anthems.

Jason H. Tickton will ad-
dress the American Guild of
Organists convention next
week in Sacramento and
Chico, Calif.
Tickton, professor of
music at Wayne State Uni-
versity and music director
at Temple Beth El, will dis-
cuss "The Wonderful Heri-
tage of Hebrew Music" and
"Melismatic Exfoliations."

to Meet Tuesday

Society of Michigan, Inc.,
will hold its next monthly
meeting 8 p.m. Tuesday at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch of the Jewish Corn-
munity Center, room 13.
