The eruv issue is being
kept alive. Under the signa-
tures of Rabbis James I.
Gordon, Samuel Prero and
Feivel Wagner, the follow-
ing letter was sent to the
Orthodox community ex-
plaining the plan of action:
The Young Israel Rab-
binate extends a hearty
thanks to its membership
for the interest and support
demonstrated at the his-
toric meeting held at the
Young Israel of Greenfield
on March 4. There was no
concession on the issue of
the eruv; and, we stand,
united; in our commitment
to work together with the
Vaad Harabonim for the
successful accomplishment
of our goal in accordance
with all Halakhic require-
