Institute Oneg to Focus
on Teaching the Holocaust
Sholem Aleichem Insti-
tute will present a talk by
Dr. Sidney Bolkosky at an
oneg Shabat 8:30 p.m. Dec.
19 at the Franklin Pointe
Apts. club house.
Dr. Bolkosky's topic is,
"Teaching the Unimagina-
ble: The Holocaust in the
Classroom."
Dr. Bolkosky is associate
professor of history at the
University of Michigan,
Dearborn campus. He is the
author of "The Distorted
Image," an account of Ger-
man Jewry in the 1920s and
1930s.
The oneg Shabat is open
to the public at no charge.

Year's Family 'Weekend
Dec. 31-Jan. 4 at the Butzel
Conference Center of Camp
Tamarack.
He will speak on "Soviet
Jewry," about which he has
written extensively. Other
evening speakers include
Michael Brooks, Hillel Di-
rector at U-M, and Charles
Wolfe, director of the
Jewish Home for the Aged.
The weekend includes a full
program of winter sports
and activities for children,
pioneer skills, Shabat fes-
tivities; and a New Year's
Eve party.
