Nosanchuk Leads Year-End Bond Drive
David B. Holtzman, gen-
eral chairman of Metro De-
troit Israel Bonds, has
called for an end-of-the-year
"Crash Campaign for Cash"
to mobilize Israel Bond loan
dollars for Israel.
Leading the special cash
drive will be Max Nosan-
chuk, cash collection
chairman.
"Only the immediate
strengthening of Israel's

base, through low interest
cash loans, can help her
overcome some of the
threats and dangers that
she faces," said Nosanchuk.
"Promises cannot do it and
time is of the essence," he
said.
The drive is designed to
produce $2 million in
cash within the next 30
days, from unpaid com-
mitments and new sales.
"Our campaign results to
date have been encourag-
ing, but the final month of
the year will make the cru-
cial difference," said
Holtzman.
He cited two major peace
term sacrifices of Israel that
require increased Bond
campaign participation and
fulfillment of Bond com-
mitments by Israel's
friends: The tremendous
cost of redeploying
thousands of civilians and
military personnel from the
Sinai to the Negev, and the
$2.2 billion yearly cost of
purchasing oil, until now
available from the Sinai oil
fields.
Aiding Nosanchuk in the
cash collection are Ellie
Schaumberg, Women's Di-
vision cash collection
chairman, and Anne Par-
zen, High Holy Day cash
collection chairman.
surpassed the $5 billion
sales mark, Holtzman
said.
He added, "The Bond
Organization, our commu-
nity included, is now com-
mitted to produce an addi-
tional $150 million in cash
by the end of this year."
