Kochavim's weekly Sab-
bath service, led by Joey
Kowalsky, meets 10 a.m.
Saturdays in the double
'assroom in the Hebrew
annex. This service
consists of prayers in He-
brew and English, and an
explanation of the Torah
portion by Kowalsky, and a
story by youth director,
Jackye Drapkin. Refresh-
ments are provided by the
sisterhood.
Nitzanim (age 3-7) meet
every week at 10 a.m.,
under the leadership of
Beth Norman, for Sabbath
stories, games and refresh-
ments provided by the sis-
terhood. Nitzanim are re-
hearsing for their Hanuka
program. An arts and crafts
meeting will be held 2 p.m.
Nov. 30 at the synagogue, to
arrange the props the group
will require in the Hanuka
program to be presented at
the synagogue Hanuka
party Dec. 7. Due to a con-
) flict in scheduling, the Nit-
zanim will not appear at the
Bedford Villa Nursing
Home as previously an-
nounced.
Junior congregation
(age 10-12), under the di-
rection of Barry Lippitt,
will continue to meet at 10
a.m. every Sabbath, but
those services will be
held in the Youth Lounge
starting Saturday.

BNAI DAVID junior
congregation's Story Hour
(age 4-6) will meet 10 a.m.
Saturday in room 101 with
Joyce Lang. The group will
begin preparations for its
presentation at the Dec. 7
Hanuka party. Costumes
will be made and parents
will be on hand to assist. For

Grades three and four
will meet 10 a.m. Saturday
in room 103 with Nancy
Korn. The youth will pre-
pare a program to present at
the Hanuka party. The
group also is preparing a
program to present a Bor-
man Hall in December.

Youth in grades five and
six will participate in the
synagogue's Hanuka prod-
uction. The group meets 10
a.m. Saturdays in the small

David Nathan and El-
liot Maness lead a special
Shabat service for youth
in grades seven-12 at 10
a.m. Saturdays in the
small chapel.
Ruach (grades three and
four) will meet 1:30 p.m.
Sunday for elections and an
ice cream social. Ice skating
at Fairlane will follow.
There is a charge. Children
are requested to bring a
dairy lunch. Parents are
needed to drive. For infor-

Atid (grades nine-12) will
go to Little Caesar's in West
Bloomfield for a bowling
and pizza party Sunday,
meeting 12:30 p.m. in the

group will proceed to Little
Caesar's. There is a charge.

A "Gong Show" will be
part of the synagogue's
Hanuka production. Per-
sons interested in audition-

Talit and Tefilin Club
will meet 9 a.m. Sunday for
prayers, brunch and a dis-
cussion led by Rabbi Morton

and Recognition Shabat

Senior "Moshe Mouse"
United Synagogue Youth
(grades nine-12) is collect-
ing children's toys to take to
fall boards to be held
Thanksgiving weekend
Nov. 28-30. The toys are a
Central Region USY proj-
ect. The toys will be shipped
to an orphanage in Israel.
