a proposal by New York
Mayor Edward Koch to
make the two sister cities.
Kollek said a Jerusalem
ordinance prohibited the
pairing of Jerusalem with

1 tsp. vanilla
1 and 2/3 cups unsweetened
applesauce
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups flour
2 tsps. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Blend margarine and sugar
until creamy. Add rest of the
ingredients. Mix together with
a spoon and then blend with
mixer until smooth. Grease a
tube or bundt pan. Pour in the
batter. Bake for one hour at
350 degrees.
