Petroleum Reserve (SPR)
suggest that Saudi Arabian
objections to the reserve
have helped to determine
U.S. energy policy, accord-

Petro-Impact magazine.
According to the Ameri-
can Jewish Committee pub-
lication, "It has been widely
reported that the Saudis
have linked their oil prod-
uction rate to the SPR,
threatening to cut back
below 9.5 million barrels
per day if the U.S. resumes
