France Sentences Two Palestinians

PARIS (JTA) — A French
jury sentenced two Palesti-
nian students last week to
15 years inprisonment for
the murder of Palestine
Liberation Organization
representative in Paris, Ez-
zedine Kalak, and one of his
aides_on Aug. 3, 1978,

Abdul Kadir Hatam, 27,
and Hassan Kayed, 23, told
the court they had been
entrusted with a mission "to
execute the traitor. Kalak"
by a pro-Iraqi Palestinian
organization known as the
"Abu Nidal Group."

such terms and upon such conditions as he. in his absolute discretion, shall deem fit and
proper.
RABBI B. GOTTLIEB has the full power and authority to assign or appoint a
substitute or substitutes to act in his place and sled with all the same powers and authority
that I have invested in HIM.

The above given power shall be in conforMity with all Torah, Rabbinical regulations
and laws and also in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan. And to this I hereby

Music and Dance Highlight Center Events

Music and dance will be
the features of the Center
Symphony Orchestra's fam-
ily concert to take place 3:30
p.m. Sunday in the Aaron
DeRoy Studio Theater of the
main Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield.
Julius Chajes will conduct
the symphony. Harriet Berg
directs the dancers.
Performing will be the
Festival Dancers and
Elizabeth Rowin, violinist;
Edward Benyas, oboist; and
Patrick O'Connor, flutist.
Miss Rowin has per-
formed with her school and
Oakland Youth Orchestras
and currently is a member
of the CSO, Detroit Sym-
phony Civic Orchestra and
Detroit Civic Chamber Or-
chestra.
Benyas plays chamber
music at Roeper City and
Country School and has
played in several
amateur, honors and pro-
fessional ensembles, in-
cluding the Southfield
Youth Symphony, Michi-
gan State High School
Honors Band, Inter-
lochen All-State High
School Orchestra, Will-
0-Way Theater, Avon
Theater and West Bloom-
field Symphony Or-
chestra.
Former principal flutist
of the Bloomfield Hills High
School Orchestra, O'Connor
also plays saxophone, and is
a percussionist and com-
poser. He also is a Classical
music critic.
