Plans are under way to renovate the new
Lubavitch Center, formerly the Labor Zionist Insti-
tute, located at 28555 Middlebelt, Farmington Hills.
The building, acquired for growing school enroll-
ment, will be brought up to the Farmington Hills code
for use as a school and changes for energy conserva-
tion also will be made.

Cologne and Brown Univer-
sity. Dr. Petuchowski was
the first director of Jewish
studies at the Jerusalem
school of HUC and visiting
professor of Jewish philos-
ophy at Tel Aviv Univer-
sity.
He lectured at Oxford
University and has fre-
quently lectured at univer-
sities in England and
Europe. Author of 17 books,
he is one of the world's ex-
perts on Jewish liturgy and
theology.
