QUITE AN AFFAIR ...
very finely put together ...
and worth between $35,000
and $40,000 to the Met-
ropolitan March of Dimes
coffers . . . This was the
unique "Tuxedos and Ten-
nis Shoes" affair given re-
cently at Hamilton Place on
Southfield.
There was always some-
thing going on ... furs and
jewelry exhibits ... fashion
shows ... aquatic ballet ex-
hibitions ... hors d'oeuvres
galore ... drinks unlimited
. . . a fine dinner . . . and lots
of people confusedly dressed
like they didn't know what
else to wear.

ning was an hors d'oeuvres
competition by noted folks
around town ... and judg-
ing notables ... Only the
judges were supposed to
taste those goodies made for
points ... but the recipes
were given to Hamilton
Place chefs to make for
everyone ... Winner was
Ardis Keneally of TV's
"Romper Room" of a few
years back, whose Ginocehi.
Verdi (spinach and
semolina dumpling with
mornay sauce) took top
honors.
Florine Mark, a con-
testant, had among the
best meat balls I've eaten
... Weight Watchers, too,
