House Passes
Prayer Bill
The Michigan House of
Representatives has passed
a bill that would allow vol-
untary, five-minute prayer
or meditation sessions in
the public schools.
The bill passed on a 61-28
vote and was sponsored by
Rep. Ethel Terrell (D-
Highland Park). To become
law the bill must pass the
state Senate.
