RAHAM HILLEL
MOSES: A social'gathering
and membership reception
will begin at 10 p.m. Satur-
day. At 11:45 p.m., Rabbi A.
Irving Schnipper will con-
duct the services, assisted
by Cantor Shabtai Acker-
man and the synagogue
choir, under the direction of
Associate Cantor Israel
Fuchs. Rabbi Israel I. Hal-
pern will deliver the ser-
mon.

A 10 p.m. social gathering
Saturday will precede the
midnight Selihot service. At
the social, the film, "The
Falashas," will be shown.
Rabbi Milton Arm will of-
ficiate and Cantor Simon
Bermanis, assisted by the
synagogue choir, will chant
the liturgy. The public is in-
vited.

in Hand," will be part of a 10
/p.m. social gathering
Saturday slated to precede
midnight Selihot services.
The social gathering is
sponsored by the Mr. and
Mrs. Club. Rabbi David
Nelson will speak on "Our
Personal Teshuva" at the
Selihot services. Cdntor
Samuel Greenbaum, as-
sisted by the Beth Shalom
Choir, will chant the
liturgy.
CONG. BNAI DAVID:
Selihot services will be pre-
ceded at 9:30 p.m. Saturday
by a program featuring Ma-
rian Shifman, president of
the Jewish Community
Council. A social hour will
follow Mrs. Shifman's pre-
sentation and services will
begin at 11 p.m. Rabbi Mor-
ton Yolkut will officiate and
Cantor Hyman Adler, as-
sisted by the synagogue
choir, will chant the liturgy.
The community is invited
free of charge.
CONG. BNAI MOSHE:
Services for Selihot will be
preceded by an 8:30 p.m.
program Saturday of work-
shops in which members
will explore the meaning of
the particular prayers
heard during the service.
Selihot services will begin
at 10 p.m. Rabbi Stanley
Rosenbaum will officiate
and Cantor Louis,Klein will
chant the liturgy. The
synagogue choir will per-
form under the direction of
Daniel Braude.
TEMPLE ISRAEL: The
couples club will sponsor a
reception at 10:30 p.m.

Saturday in advance of the
Selihot services at 11. An
original service has been
prepared, and will feature
lay participation along with
Rabbis M. Robert Syme,
Harold S. Loss and Leon
Fram. The temple youth
group will participate in a
candlelighting ceremony.
Cantor Harold Orbach and
the temple choir will pre-
sent the liturgical portion.
The community is invited.
TEMPLE KOL AMI:
Services will be preceded at
7 p.m. Saturday by a pot:
luck dinner and a talk by
artist Hanna Stiebel. Serv-
ices will begin at 8:30 p.m.
Rabbi Ernst Conrad will of-
ficiate.
LIVONIA JEWISH
CONGREGATION:
Selihot services will take
place at 10:30 p.m. Satur-
day. Rabbi Martin Gordon
will officiate.
CONG. SHAAREY
ZEDEK: A 9:30 p.m. social
hour Saturday will open the
Selihot observance at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek. Refresh-
ments will be served, and
the congregation will have

an opportunity to meet the
new cantor, Chaim Najman.
At 10 p.m., two films will be
shown: "The Temptation of
Reb Yisrael" and "The
Kadish of Levi Yitzchok."
Services will begin at 11:30
p.m. Rabbi Irwin Groner
and Rabbi Alan Lucas will
officiate and Cantor Naj-
man will chant the liturgy,
assisted by the synagogue
choir, under the direction of
Harry Siegal.
YOUNG ISRAEL OF
OAK-WOODS: A coffee
hour will precede Selihot
services at Young Israel of
Oak-Woods. The coffee hour
will be held at 11 p.m. Sat-
urday in the Berris Meet-
ing Room. Rabbi James I.
Gordon will deliver a ser-
mon at 12:40 a.m. Sunday
and Rabbi Chayim Schloss
will lead the services.

not listed herein for the
pre-High Holiday service
