The Magen David Adorn
testimonial dinner Sept. 11,
honoring Rabbi Leon Fram
of Temple Israel, will
greatly benefit the many
programs of MDA, Israel's
emergency medical service,
including the treatment of
victims of leukemia and
hemophilia, according to
Dr. John J. Mames and Dr.
Morris Starkman.

and publisher of The Jewish
News, will be guest speaker
and national ARMDI
chairman Joseph Handle-
man will bring greetings.
Dr. M. Robert Syme of
Temple Israel will deliver
the invocation and the tem-
ple's Cantor Harold Orbach
will perform a musical trib-
ute. Tribute to the honoree
will also be paid by Myron
Steinberg, immediate past
dinner chairman and Dr.
Harold Maxmen, co-
chairman, who will present
MDA's Distinguished
Humanitarian Service
Award to Dr. Fram.
Music will be provided by -
Eric Rosenow and his Con-
tinentals. Greetings will be
also extended by Phyllis
Beaver; women's committee
president.

MDA's 'Babies'
to Meet Navon
JERUSALEM — Some 50
representatives of Magen
David Adorn's "ambulance
babies" will meet President
Yitzhak Navon to mark the
opening of Israel's national
MDA lottery.
One MDA driver esti-
mates that 600 babies have
been born in his ambulance
over the past 30 years, in-
cluding a boy and a girl born
two years apart who grew
up to marry each other.

tive Services Building Au-
ditorium.
Dr. Richard McCaughey,

"The Facts About Ileitis and
Colitis." Admission is free.
