Cong. T'chiyah and four
other downtown organiza-
tions have joined in a
$700,000 fund-raising driNie
to restore the Old St. Mary's
School where the congrega-
tion is housed.
Other groups involved
are St. Mary's Parish, Blue
Cross - Blue Shield of
Michigan, Project START
and the Team for Justice.
- The 111-year-old build-
ing on Monroe is believed to
be the oldest standing
schoolhouse in Michigan.
The funds will be used to -
turn the building into a
community center by re-
storing the outside and
bringing the interior up to
code.

troit preceded the Sept. 9 opening of their Youth and
Services Appeal with three recent parlor meetings.
Lillian S. Holstein of Pittsburgh, past international
president of Bnai Brith Women, was special guest at
the meetings. Mrs. Holstein is shown in the top photo-
graph, at left, with hostess Mala Dorfman and Council
President Sylvia Ross. In the middle photograph are,
