Eitan Belkind
TEL AVIV (JTA) — Eitan
Belkind died at age 82 in
Rishon Lezion.
He was one of the last
survivors of "Nili," the
Jewish intelligence organ-
ization that provided infor-
mation to the allied forces
during World War I.
Mr. Belkind and his
brother, Naaman, were ar-
rested by the Turks for their
activities. Mr. Belkind was
born in Rishon and was a
deputy mayor of the town.

Winter Park, Fla.; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Theodore
(Frances) Fried of Baldwin,
N.Y.; and eight
grandchildren. Interment

Max Weinberg, president
and co-founder of Frank's
Nursery Sales, Inc., died
May 26 at age 63.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Mr.
Weinberg came to Detroit in
1941 to enter the produce
business with an uncle. He
was an active supporter of
the Jewish National Fund
and donated the plants that
were given to the guests at
the JNF annual dinners.
He was a member of Tem-
ple Israel, Pisgah Lodge of
Bnai Brith, Knollwood
Country Club, Perfection
Lodge ofthe Masons and the
Standard Club. He was
active in efforts on behalf of
the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign and Israel Bonds. Mr.
Weinberg was a former
treasurer and board
member of Sinai Hospital.

Alan E. Luckoff, vice

29 at age 47.
A native Detroiter, Mr.
Luckoff was graduated from
the University of Michigan
in 1953. He was an or-
ganizer and past president
of the Junior Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federaion
and was awarded its Frank
Wetsman Leadership
Award.
He had been a board
member of Cong. Shaarey
Zedek, Fresh Air Society
and the United Hebrew
Schools. He also was a board
member and former secre-
tary of Knollwood Country
Club.
He leaves his wife, Ar-
line; a son, Howard; a
daughter, Cheryl; his
mother, Mrs. Louis H.
(Ruth) Luckoff; and a
brother, Michael of Califor-
nia.
