El Al Increases
Denmark Flights

COPENHAGEN (JTA) —
El Al has been authorized to
add an additional flight
from Copenhagen to Tel
Aviv.
The Danish Civil Avia-
tion Board granted this
permission in view of the
fact that the current flights
are booked at nearly 100
percent occupancy. Begin-
ning April 1 there will be
seven flights each week be-
tween Denmark and Israel:
four El Al and three SAS.

will be the recipient of Is-
rael's Lion of Judah Peace
Award, in recognition "of
her outstanding service to
the cause of Israel through
her leadership participation
in Hadassah and the Israel
Bond program." Luncheon
chairman is Mrs. George C.
(Anne) Parzen.

Hadassah Cites Leah Snider
at Annual Israel Bond Event

Mrs. Snider is a former
member of the national
Hadassah board and the
Michigan Region of Hadas-
sah board; she is past chap-
ter president of South Oak-
land County Hadassah and
Metropolitan Detroit
Hadassah.
Mormer vice president
of the Women's Division,
Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion, Mrs. Snider has
been a board member of
the JWF since the early
1960s and also serves as
chairman of the Out-
reach Committee of JWF.

She serves on the board of
the Federation Apartments
and holds the Michigan
State chairmanship of the
Women's Division, United
Jewish Appeal.
A board member-elect .of
Sinai Hospital, Mrs. Snider
has been a Gray Lady with
the Red Cross and served at
the Veterans Hospital in ,
Allen Pack for five years.
She has served on the
boards of United Hebrew
Schools and Jewish Family
Service and is a former
Phonogift chairman for the.
Allied Jewish Campaign.

band are members of Cong.

Dr. James I. Ausman was
recently appointed chair-
man of Henry Ford Hospi-
tal's department of
neurosurgery-neurology.
- Dr. Ausman comes to
HFH from the University of
Minnesota departments of
neurosurgery and phar-
macology. He was recently
elected to the executive
committee of .the Stroke
Council of the American
Heart Association, and he is
a member of the Stroke
Committee_of the Michigan
Heart. Association.
A former surgeon with
the U.S. Public Health
Service (1966-1968), he was
consulting editor of the
Year Book of Cancer
(1972-1978) and is a
member of numerous medi-
cal and surgical societies
and committees. He is the
author of numerous publi-
cations including several
research articles on stroke.
