Volunteers, all members of the State of Israel
Bond Reinvestment Committee, are, from left, seated

Tillie Martin and Anna Slomovitz. Standing are Betty

"Many of these bondhol-
ders need to be reminded
that their 1967 Bonds are
maturing. Additionally, we
want to appraise these
people, who responded to Is-
rael's economic needs dur-
ing a time of war, of the im-
portance of reinvesting in
Israel's economic develop-
ment program as a strong
foundation to assure the
peace," said Nosanchuk.
Nationally, more than
$141 million in Israel
Bonds will mature during
1979, the year that Israel
must invest billions of
dollars in developing the
infrastructure -(roads,
electric power, irrigation
and other facilities) of the
Negev desert, Israel's
new southwestern fron-
tier, once a peace treaty is
signed with Egypt.
"If we can obtain in num-
bers just half the group of
volunteers who aided the
Bond organization during
1967, when people stood in
long lines to purchase
Bonds, this reinvestment
campaign is assured of suc-
cess," the co-chairmen said.
