Shoresh and Migdal
Tzion will sponsor Adat
Shalom's annual Purim
carnival, 11 a.m. Sunday
in the social hall. Both
groups will operate the
various booths and coor-
dinate activities for the
day. Proceeds from the
carnival benefit youth
projects and summer
scholarships. Chairmen
of the carnival are Marcy
Freedland (Shoresh),
Steven Woronoff and
Stevan Levy (Migdal Tz-
ion). The community is

The combined youth
groups also will participate
in the Purim ,service for the
entire congregation 6:30
p.m. Monday in the main
sanctuary. The megilla will
be read by Barry Frank,
Jonathan Levy, Stevan
Levy, Howard Lupovitch,
Steven Lupovitch, Michael
Nachman, Michael
Neuvirth, Mark Schostak
and Sandy Vieder. Expla-
nations of the readings will
be offered by Elizabeth Al-
pern, Nancy Frank and Gail
Nachman. Other youth
group members will dress as
clowns and distribute greg-
gers. A Purim party in the
social hall will follow the
service. Entertainment and
dancing will be led by Uri
Segal.

BNAI DAVID youth will
celebrate Purim with the
reading of the Megillat
Esther at 6:30 p.m. Monday
at the synagogue. Young
people age 4 - 17 will gather
in age groups and march to-
gether into the main
sanctuary. Refreshments
will follow, and prizes will
be awarded for costumes.
All young people are in-
vited.
Children age 4 - 7 will
gather in the school build-
ing; age 8 - 10 will meet in
the junior congregation
room next to the social hall,
while youth age 11 - 17 will
gather in the small chapel.
A Purim carnival will
take place 11:30 a.m. March
18 in the Rotenberg Social
Hall. Games and prizes for
all ages, as well as arts and
crafts booths, snow cones
and cartoon shows will
highlight the carnival. Par-
ents are needed to help
supervise, and are asked to
contact a youth leader.
A family night at the Ice
Capades will be held
Thursday, meeting 6:15
p.m. at the youth lounge.
Bus transportation will
be provided. Tickets are
limited, and must be re-

Talit and Tefilin Club
will meet 9 a.m. Sunday for
