17th annual midwinter
regional convention of
Nshei Ubnos Chabad Feb.
16-18. Rabbi Lipskar will
speak on "A Formula for
Our Survival." He will
speak at the banquet ses-
sion 1 p.m. Feb. 18 at Cong.

Rabbi Lipskar is the per-
sonal- representative of the
Lubavitcher Rebbe in
South Africa and has been
director and coordinator of
all Chabad activities in that
country for the past seven
years. He also is the
spiritual leader of the
Hasidic synagogue in
Johannesburg.
The convention, which
will focus on Jewish educa-
tion, will begin with Shabat
sessions Feb. 16 at Cong.

This week we take a look
at a very easy way to make
great potato kngel using a
blender.
3 eggs
11/2 tsps. salt
1 /8 tsp. black pepper
2 tbsps. softened margarine
a small onion, quartered
4 medium. potatoes, cubed
1 /4 cup matza meal
Place ingredients in order
into blender. Blend at medium
speed. Grease one and
3/4-quart casserole dish and
pour ingredients into it. Bake
at 350 degrees for one hour.
