Why give it to the IRS?
Keep it in an IRA
dg 8%,with us.
and e re ran i1.
What's an IRA?
IRA stands for Individual Retirement Account at
Manufacturers Bank of Southfield. If you aren't covered
by a qualified pension or profit-sharing plan it lets you
put aside a part of your income, tax-free, for withdrawal
after you retire.
What's in it for you?
Important tax savings. You can deposit up to 15% of
your eamed income (up to $1,500) in your IRA each year
and claim it as a tax deduction on your federal income tax.
But that's not all. We'll pay you a fat 8% annual interest on
your account when held to a 3 year maturity, and that's tax
free. too!
What can we do to help?
Our trained people will help you set up the IRA pro-
gram that's tailored to your exact needs.
= Your tax-free deposits can be made periodically or
in a lump sum. And you can open your IRA with as
little as $500.
*Withdrawals can be made at any time. However, any
withdrawals made before age 591/2 (unless you ere dis-
abled) may be subject to substantial income tax penalties.
What are you waiting for?
Time is growing short. Come in and talk to us soon
and you could qualify for an important 1978 tax deduc-
tion. You see. it isn't that we have anything against the IRS.
its just that we have something special for you.
*Remember. Federal law and regulation prohibit
the payment of a time deposit prior to maturity unless
three months of the interest thereon is forfeited and
interest on the amount withdrawn is reduced to the
passbook rate.
Tailored Banking. We make it right for you.
