new cookbook called "Cook-
ing Through the Years."
One of the projects aided by
this book is a residential
treatment center for emo-
tionally disturbed boys in
Bait V'Gan, Israel. The

CHOCOLATE
CRUNCH CAKE
1 /2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
_1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
6 oz. semi sweef cho -`1te
pieces
1 /4 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. instant coffee
1 /4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream butter and sugar until
light and fluffy. Beat in eggs,
one at a time. Sift flour, soda, '-
coffee powder, cocoa and salt
and add to creamed mixture,
alternately with milk and van-
illa. Pour into well-greased 9"
square pan.
Sprinkle top with chocolate
pieces and nuts. Bake in 375
degree oven about 45 minutes,
or until edges start to pull
away from sides of pan. Re-
move from oven, and sprinkle
top with sifted confectioners'
sugar.
