Jewel Alexander
Jewel C. Alexander, a
40-year resident of Flint,
died Nov. 6 at age 71.
Born in Toledo, Mrs. Ale-
xander was a member of the
Temple Beth El Sisterhood.
She resided at 3105 Sunset.
She is survived by leer
husband, Philip; a brother,
William Cooley of Toledo;
and two sisters, Mary
Cooley of Toledo and May
Heck of Monroe.
A study session on the
Holocaust will be held at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek, 1924
Coolidge, Lansing, Sunday,
sponsored by the Michigan
Young Leadership Insti-
tute.
There will be speakers, a
pictorial history of the
Holocaust and group
encounter sessions. Ses-
sions will run from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. There is a charge
for registration and lunch.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Himelhoch of River Valley
Drive celebrated their 55th
wedding i anniversary re-
cently.
Himelhoch, who was born
in Latvia, married the
former Sarah Ura Oct. 28,
1923, in Flint. She was born
in Poland. Himelhoch was a
grocer for 60 years and re-
tired in 1963. –
The couple have three
children, Mrs. A.C.
(Jeanette) Kranitz, Mrs.
Louis (Harriet) Ravitch of
Saginaw and Mason; and
nine grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
