Proclamation
Sinai Hospital of Detroit
25th ANNIVERSARY
Sinai Hospital of Detroit was organized in 1953 after nearly a half-
century of dreaming and planning oy the Jewish Hospital Associa-
tion.
Since its doors opened, Also Hospital has grown by leaps and bounds,
adding new wings, increasing services, acquiring modern equip-
ment for research and treatment of diseases and attracting some
of the best specialists in the medical field.
July 5, 1951 - six months after ground-breaking.
Sinai Hospital of Detroit has gained a national reoutatien for its
effectiveness in tie treatment of the sick, in research and pre-
vention of disease and in the dedication to medical education.
The many services provided by Sinai Hospital offers patients the best
Possible care and the staff shows an affection for suffering
humankind and works diligently to ease, soothe and erase the
agonies of affliction.
Therefore, I. Coleman A. Young, Mayor of the City of Detroit, issue
this-- Proclamation designating January 16,1478 ad .Sinai -Hospital
Day and congratulate the administrators, staff and volunteer,
on their 25th Anniversary o' dedicated service to the citizens
of reetropofitan Detroit and the elation.
Official Proclamation presented to Sinai Hospital of Detroit by Detroit
Mayor Coleman A. Young. In recognition of the Hospital's 25th An-
niversary, January 16, 1978 was officially proclaimed Sinai Hospital
Day in the City of Detroit.
