our sincere thanks.

the privilege of having led this fine institution-for the past
three years. Dr. Lloyd Paul completes his term as Chief
of Staff and expresses gratitude and appreciation for
the confidence and support of the medical staff over the
three years of his term.
And lastly, Dr. Julien Priver, our Chief Executive of-
ficer since 1951, prepares to retire next year after a long
and fruitful tenure — with solemn recognition of his
indebtedness over the decades to the Board of Trus-
tees, the Medical Staff, his colleagues in Administration,
the Sinai Guild, the Hospital personnel and many
friends in the community.
All three join in thanking the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion for its early leadership and grant of funds, which
made Sinai Hospital come alive — and for its continuing
subventions Which add to our luster.

Found in Sinai's archives is this picture of Board member, Nate S. Shapero, cutting the ribbon during a dedication ceremony
heralding the official opening of the hospital on January 15, 1953. Executive Vice President Julien Priver, M.D., and Sinai's first
President Max Osnos (left), look on. Twenty-five years later finds Dr. Priver still the Executive Vice President and Mr. Shapero
and Mr. Osnos current members of the Board.
