munal organizations, died
Sept. 14 at age 52.
A native Detroiter, Mrs.
Brod was a member of Tern-
ple Israel, Women's Ameri-
can ORT, the Jewish Com-
munity Center and was
active in the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation. She resided
at 29400 Prestwick, South-
field.
She leaves her husband,
Joseph; three daughters,
Mrs. Richard (Helene)
Lober, Lynn and Julie Ann;
her mother, Mrs. Adele
Deutsch; a brother, Ernest
Deutsch; and one
granddaughter.
Marvin Allen, owner of
the Keego Harbor Theater
since 1954, died Sept. 17 at
age 76.
Born in Russia, Mr. Allen
lived 36 years in Detroit. He
was a member of Cong. Bnai
Israel of Pontiac and the
Kiwanis Club in Keego
Harbor.
Mr. Allen leaves his wife,
Lynn; a son, Barry; and two
sisters, Mrs. Abe (Grace)
Medwin and Mrs. Al (Net-
tie) Becker, both of Roches-
ter, N.Y.
JWB Takes In
Media Service
NEW YORK — The
Jewish Media Service, an
audio-visual program that
has operated from the cam-
pus of Brandeis University
for a number of years, has
become a new responsibility
of the Jewish Welfare
Board.
The Media Service had
formerly been a project of
the Institute for Jewish
Life.
The Council of Jewish
Federations and the United
Jewish Appeal have joined
JWB as prime sponsors of
the Media Service, which
will provide media informa-
tion, materials and consul-
tative services to Jewish
communities, Jewish com-
munity centers, local media
centers and other Jewish
organizations and groups.
The Jewish Media Serv-
ice will be housed at JWB,
15 East 26th St., New York

was a graduate chemist. Mr.
Wagner gave skin treat-
ments and pursued his work
in the cosmetic field in Vie-
nna and Paris.
He was a member of the

He is survived by his wife,
