(The Best of Everything

(Continued from Page 29)
charming and quick effi-
cient ways are most condu-
cive to full appeasement of
all appetites.
Having a highly ex-
perienced waiter like
Dosi is important ... In-
stead of rushing the food
so as to turn over his ta-
bles, Dosi instead asked if
we wanted our spaghetti
or preferred to wait a
while after the delicious
minestrone soup ... By
allowing for relaxation
between courses, Dpsi
provides an extremely
pleasant and certainly
healthier way of life. -
Frieda had a filet mignon,
so tender and delicious, and
we ordered the veal pic-
cante, tasty although not
thinly sliced as desired.
The dessert will soon be
on Lelli's menu ... Al Tor-
toni Amaretto ... ice cream
with the delicious liqueur
over it.
The opera stars sang
happy birthday to a party
... and then Quinto sang
"Happy Birthday To Me"

. it also being his birth-
date ... plus 10th anniver-
sary ... big reason to rush
home where wife Enrica
was waiting with a bottle of
Asti Spumonte.
The only thing offkey this
entire Thursday evening
was a busboy's tray of dishes
crashing to the floor.
DINERS-OUT at the
Wicker Works of Northfield
Hilton Inn this evening will
have the opportunity to ex-
perience authentic cuisine
and beverage from Nordic
Countries, at its Fourth In-
ternational Night.
For example, guests can
have Risted Laks med
Kremsaus (sauted trout
with sour cream sauce) plus
Van Saus (herring and wine
sauce) ... Also Scandina-
vian beverages, Akvavit
(the water of life) and brews
such as Carlsburg beer.

Congress Starts Own Probe
Into Nazi-U.S. Agency Ties

WASHINGTON (JTA) —
Dissatisfied with the Gen-
eral Accounting Office's
(GAO) investigation of al-
leged Nazi war criminals in
the United States, the
House Judiciary Subcom-
mittee on Immigration is at
work on its own probe. The
investigation centers on the
U.S. government's failure to
investigate and prosecute
alleged Nazi criminalS, Rep.
Joshua Eil berg (D-Pa.) said.
Eilberg said the GAO re-
port delivered last May
failed to reach "definitive
conclusions" on the reasons
why the government took
no action against the al-
leged Nazis although its re-
port pointed to ties between
alleged war criminals living
in the United States and at
least three government
agencies — the Department
of Defense, the Central In-
telligence Agency and the
Federal Bureau of Investi-
gation.
According to estimates of
the Immigration and
Naturalization Service
(INS), Eilberg said, some
200 persons are currently
under investigation for al-
leged war crimes. He said
the INS failed to "vigor-
ously investigate the alle-
gations against these people
and take the necessary ac-
tion against them."
Eilberg said that the
CIA, FBI, GAO and the
State and Justice De-
partments have pledged
to submit their docu-
ments to the subcommit-
tee in its investigation.
Meanwhile, in Amster-
dam, Jan Kruyer, a Dutch
war criminal who has been
hiding in West Germany for
more than 25 years, was ar-
rested Friday by a Dutch
customs inspector as he
tried to enter the country at
