Rabbi Oscar Groner Named
to Bnai Brith Hillel Position

WASHINGTON — Rabbi
Oscar Groner has been
named by the Bnai Brith
Hillel Commission as inter-
national director of the Bnai
Brith Hillel Foundations
which serve as the "Jewish
address of tens of thousands
of students and faculty on
some 350 college campuses
around the world."
Rabbi Groner, who begins
his new duties Sept. 1, suc-
ceeds Dr. Norman E.
Frimer, who has selected
early retirement after 30
years with Hillel, nearly
four of them as interna-
tional director.

West Bloomfield attorney,
has filed for one of the three
new Circuit Court judge
posts in Oakland County.
He has had 10-years trial
experience and is a member
of the American Trial
Lawyers Association, Oak-
land County Bar Associa-
tion and serves on a panel of
arbitrators of the American
Arbitration Association.
He has served on the
Child Custody and Adop-
tion Committees of the
Family Law Section of the
State Bar of Michigan and is
a member of the "FAIR"
Committee, which is com-
prised of several judges and
attorneys who have drafted
legislation which would
allow for an experimental
plan for funding judicial
elections.
Brickner is a member of
Tau Epsilon Rho Legal
Fraternity, the only na-
tional Jewish legal frater-
nity, and has served as an
officer of that organization.
