MONTREAL (JTA) — Is-
Minister,
Shmuel Tamir, has asked
the council of the Interna-
tional Civil Aviation Or-
ganization (ICAO) to con-
demn the terrorist attack at
Orly Airport near Paris
May 20 and to call upon
states to take measures to
prevent such attacks in ac-
cordance with the 1971
Montreal Convention for
the suppregsion of Unlawful
Acts Against the Safety of
Civil Aviation.
He observed that, "This
additional act of brutal ter-
rorism aimed at innocent
passengers is further proof
of the utter absurdity of
granting the PLO official
observer status in ICAO, as
was done at the recent 22nd
rael's Justice
General Assembly of the or-
ganization. The PLO has
not even denied its approval
of the views of indiscrimi-
nate terror and bloodshed of
civilians as a political
weapon."
Two French policemen
were killed in preventing
the terrorists from attack-
ing a group of passengers
waiting for an El Al flight.
Three terrorists were killed.
