American Jewish Commit-
tee, American Jewish Con-
gress and Anti-Defamation
League of Bnai Brith have
joined in a U.S. Supreme
Court case protesting the
removal of books by the
school board from the Island
Trees (Long Island) Schools
library.
The American Jewish
Committee said that the
school board followed the
recommendation of a con-
servative group and ignored
the advice of a board-
nted study committee

tion from its book "Who Is

Sales Resume

TEL. AVIV (JTA) -- The
Israel Citrus Marketing
Board reported that it has
received reports from.
Europe indicating a: re-
sumption of the sale of Is-
raeli oranges following last
week's slump after poisoned.
oranges were discovered in
Holland and West Ger-
many.
Meanwhile, Israel stands
to lose between $20 million
to $30 million in citrus sales
as a result of the poisoned
oranges. -
In Montreal, a shipment .
of 60,000 cases of Jaffa
oranges from Israel arrived
this week in Halifax and
was checked for mercury
contamination by nine fed-
eral inspectors. Five
hundred cases were checked
tead of the usual 50.

from the Democratic
Movement for Change
(DMC), saying he was fed up
with the party's attempts to
curb his moves.
