synagogue's Town Hall
series.

UJA Shabat This Weekend

Adat Shalom Synagogue
will mark national United
Jewish Appeal Shabat this
weekend-.
During 9 a.m. Shabat
services, Saturday, Joel
Gershenson, recording sec-
retary of Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue and a member of the
UJA Young Leadership Cab-
inet, will speak on "The
Young Leadership Cabinet
— Building Inter-
generational Commitment. -
The synagogue also will
present in its museum show-
case a display highlighting
the work of Detroit's Jewish
Welfare Federation. Fea-
tured in the exhibition will
be a menora presented to
Federation on its 50th anni-
versary by the Council of
Jewish Federations and
Welfare Funds. The exhibi-_

tion will. run through Janu-
ary.
Philip T. Warren, a vice
president of Adat Shalom -
Synagogue, is a co-chair-
man .of this year's Allied
Jewish Campaign through
which the local community
makes contributions to the
United Jewish Appeal.
