AJC-IEF Pre-Campaign Vice Chairmen Are Named

Allied Jewish Campaign-
Israel Emergency Fund
General Chairmen for 1978.
Phillip Stollman and Philip
T. Warren. have announced
the appointment of nine pre-
campaign vice chairmen.
The are: Milton Barnett, Sol
Cicurel, Dr. Paul C. Fein-
berg. David Frank, Dr. Mil-
ton H. Goldrath, Myron L.
Milgrom, Milford Nemer,
Charles Snider and Bruce
7.. Thal.
Barnett. who held the

same office in last year's
Campaign, is a past chair-
man of the Real Estate and
Building Trades Division. A
director of the Detroit Serv-
ice Group for nine years, he
also serves on the, Jewish
Community Center board.
Cicurel, a past chairman
of the Mercantile Division
and of its Furniture Section,
served as pre-Campaign
vice chairman last year. He
is a member of the Detroit
Service Gni-up board.

Dr. Feinberg and Dr.
Goldrath served jointly last
year and in 1976 as chair-
men of the Professional Di-
vision. Dr. Feinberg, a
member of the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation board of
governors, is a director of
United Hebrew Schools and
the Detroit Service Group
and serves on Federation's
Culture and Education
Budget and Planning Divi-
sion. Dr. Goldrath serves on
the boards of United He-

brew Schools and the De-
troit Service Group.

Frank, a chairman of the
Mercantile Division during
the 1976 and 1977 Cam-
paigns. served in the past as
associate chairman of the
Professional Division and a
member of Federation's
board of governors and its
executive committe. He is a
director of the Jewish Fam-
ily Service and vice-
chairman of the United

ment Fund Committee. He
is a past president of the
Jewish Vocational Service
and current president of the
National Association of Jew-
ish Vocational Services.

Campaign Activities Under Way,
Leadership Training Tasks Get Priority

Campaign-Israel Emergen-
cy Fund has begun in ear-
nest, with special leadership
meetings scheduled for the
coming months.

gram was held last week for
the officers of the AJC-IEF

training and solicitation role
playing.
Jack A. Robinson and
Norman Wachler, associate
chairmen of the 1978 Cam-
paign, chaired the seminar,
developed under the joint
cooperation of the United
Jewish Appeal's Operation
Upgrade and the Council of
Jewish Federations and
Welfare Funds.
Local members of the na-
tional UJA Young Lead-
ership Cabinet assisted in
the program. They are
Stanley D. Frankel, Joel D.
Gershenson, Lawrence S.
Jackier and Michael W.
Maddin.
Another innovation in the
1978 Campaign will be a
series of special parlor
meetings to be held at the
homes of AJC-IEF and Jew-
ish Welfare Federation
leaders.
Phillip Stollman and Phil-
ip T. Warren are 1978 Cam-
paign general chairmen.
Even as 1978 Campaign
activity is under way, volun-
teers 'are manning the tele-
phones in a massive cash
collection effort for the 1977 -
Campaign. Those who have
not paid their pledges will
be asked to do so before the
end of the year. In addition,
those who still have not
made a 1977 pledge will be
contacted. The telethon will
take place Monday and
Tuesday evenings at the
United Hebrew Schools.
