David Hyatt Will Attend NCCJ Dinner

Dr. David Hyatt, presi-
dent of the National Confer-
ence of-Christians and Jews,
will visit Detroit when Eu-
gene A. Cafiero; president
of Chrysler Corp., will re-
ceive the 1977 National Hu-
man Relations Award from
the Greater Detroit Round

1963. serving as a lay volun-
teer, Dr. Hyatt was a mem-
ber of the board of trustees
of the Catholic Interracial
Council.
In May 1966, Dr. Hyatt
was a delegate to the White
House Conference on Civil
Rights. During 1963-65, on a
leave of absence from the
National Conference, Dr.
Hyatt served as U.S. press
attache to the American
Embassy in Pakistan.

In 1967, Secretary of State
Dean Rusk named •Dr.
Hyatt to the U.S. Commis-
sion for UNESCO.
In 1974, Dr. Hyatt was
awarded the John F. Ken-
nedy Brotherhood Award of
the Jewish War Veterans of
the United States.

vice president for public in-

tive vice president.
Since 1954, he has spoken
on problems of inter-
religious, interracial and in-
ternational relations to civ-
ic, business and social
groups in all parts of the
United States. He is also the
