the appointment of Alan
Hurvitz as leader of the new
Talit and Tefilin club for
boys, age 13 to 17. The
group will meet 8:45 a.m.
each Sunday at the syna-
gogue, beginning Nov. 6.
Services will be held, fol-
lowed by breakfast, spon-
sored by the synagogue
men's club, and bowling at
Ark West Lanes.
Father-son tournaments
will be held during the year,
and the group will attend a
Detroit Pistons basketball
game in November. There
will be a nominal charge
each week, and fathers are
needed to help prepare the
weekly breakfast. For infor-

. Ha-Or (grades 5-6) has
changed its Sunday event to
an ice skating and ice
cream party at Fairlane
Town Center. Participants
