Former Head of UJA Women
to Address 2 Campaign Meetings
Mathilda Brailove, a for-
mer chairman of the United
Jewish Appeal National
Women's Division, will
speak to two groups of the
Allied Jewish Campaign-
Israel Emergency Fund's
Women's Division this
month.
On Oct. 25, Mrs. Brailove
will address a meeting for
$6,000 contributors at a noon
luncheon meeting at the
Bloomfield Hills home of
Mrs. David Handleman.
The following day, Oct. 26,
she will lead a training ses-
sion for the division's $2,500
Section workers at 10 a.m.
at the West Bloomfield
home of Mrs. Alfred L.
Deutsch.
Mrs. Brailove . was UJA
National Women's Division
chairman from 1949 to 1952-
and is currently a member
of the executive committee.
She also works with the
advisory council of the Joint
Distribution Committee and
the Israel Education Fund,
and has been active in the
Elizabeth, N.J., campaign
since 1938.
Mrs. Brailove was a
member of the first UJA
Survey Mission to go to
Palestine in 1948 and of the
first Prime Minister's Con-
ference in 1950. She has
received service awards
from the UJA and the
"Woman of Valor" award
from Israel Bonds.
