Boris Levitas, a Soviet
Jew, recently released from
his native country, and who
had been adopted by the
Adat Shalom Synagogue
congregation, will speak at
the synagogue 8:15 p.m.
Monday, sponsored by the
men's club.
The congregation had
adopted Levitas and wrote
letters of support to his fam-
ily and others to the Soviet
government protesting his
detention.
Prior to the talk, mem-
bers of the synagogue's Sho-
resh and Migdal Tzion
Chapters of the United
Synagogue Youth will host a
dinner in honor of Levitas.
The community is invited.
