The Detroit Zionist Feder-
ation, in cooperation with
the Jewish Welfare Board,
will present the multi-
media presentation "Here
Is Israel," in honor of Yom
Yerushalayim, 8 p.m: Mon-
day at Cong. Bnai David.

Nine performers partici-
pate in the "Here Is Israel"
program. Their music
ranges from Hasidic melo-
dies to African numbers.
One of the performers, Ofra

Is Israel" troupe, will be an
art exhibition. The exhibit
includes jewelry in silver,
bone, wood, enamel and
gift items of olive wood
music boxes, figurines,
dolls and more.

OFRA CHAZA

Chaza, was first place win-
ner in the Eastern Songs
Festival of 1976. •
Born in the Hatikva neigh-
borhood of Tel Aviv to par-
ents who immigrated to Is--
rael from Yemen, . Miss
Chaza has been a soloist
since age 13 in five differ-
ent productions of the Hatik-
vah Theater. She has partic-
ipated in- many shows and
festivals, devoted to chil-
dren's songs and has record-
ed three albums of these
songs.

Other performers include
Michael Einhorn, Briney
Weinstock, Amir Ginat,
Oded Pinchasie, Margalit
Ankory, Danny Maseng,
Eri Homsky and Avner
Yifat.
