son (Ann) Greene of Califor-
nia; two brothers, Walter of
Hamilton, Ontario, and Ed-
ward of Burlington, On-
tario; two sisters, Mrs.
Ralph (Frances) Rubin of
North Miami Beach, Fla.,
and Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Ta-
goff of Erie, Pa. ; and 10

Dr. Theodore I. Bergman,
a practicing physician, died
April 22 at, age 74.
Born in Pit
tsburgh, Pa.,
Dr. Bei.gman lived 70 years
in Detroit. He was gradu-
ated from the Wayne Uni-
,versity Medical School in
1930 and served on the staff
of Sinai Hospital.
He was a past national
president of Phi Delta Epsi-
lon Medical Fraternity, and
a member of the executive
council of Bnai Brith and
Temple Beth El. He was a
major in the Army Medical
Corps during World War II.
He leaves a son, Dr.
Gary; two brothers, Arnold
of Indianapolis, Ind., and
Harold; two sisters, Mrs.
Robert (Henrietta) Stein
and Mrs. Adele Reichman;
and three grandchildren.

Official Hoskins

Harold Hoskins, a one-
time State Department offi-
cial who dealt with Middle*
East affairs, died last
Friday at age 81.
Acclaimed as an expert
on the Middle East, his re-
cord was replete with antag-
onism to Israel. At one
time he was accused of
such prejudices by Con-
gressman Emanuel Celler.
