Born in Pit tsburgh, Pa., Dr. Bei.gman lived 70 years in Detroit. He was gradu- ated from the Wayne Uni- ,versity Medical School in 1930 and served on the staff of Sinai Hospital. He was a past national president of Phi Delta Epsi- lon Medical Fraternity, and a member of the executive council of Bnai Brith and Temple Beth El. He was a major in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. He leaves a son, Dr. Gary; two brothers, Arnold of Indianapolis, Ind., and Harold; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Henrietta) Stein and Mrs. Adele Reichman; and three grandchildren. - U.S. Anti-Israel Official Hoskins Harold Hoskins, a one- time State Department offi- cial who dealt with Middle* East affairs, died last Friday at age 81. Acclaimed as an expert on the Middle East, his re- cord was replete with antag- onism to Israel. At one time he was accused of such prejudices by Con- gressman Emanuel Celler. a sister, Mrs. Jack (Lillian) Smotkin of Albuquerque, N.M. *** HARRY KIRSCH, 71, for- mer Detroiter of Ft. Lauder- dale, Fla., died April 27. He leaves his wife, Eleanor; a son, Donald; a daughter, Mrs. Marion Parish; two brothers. Louis and Nathan of California; and five grandchildren.
