Grove-Honors Southfield Teen

The memory of Craig
Joel Blum, who died recent-
ly at age 17, will be perpetu-
ated by the "Craig Blum
Memorial Grove" of 1,000
or more trees to be planted

in Modin, Israel, the home
of the Maccabees. The
grove was established by
his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Irving Blum, relatives and
friends, through the Jewish
National Fund.

Craig, a native Detroiter,
had recently graduated
from Southfield High School
and was a student at West-
ern Michigan University.
He had attended classes at
Temple Israel.
He was proficient in the
arts and his etchings, paint-

water sports and he was an

CONG. BNAI DAVID'S
Ruach group (grades 3 and
4) and Ha-Or (grades 5 and
6) will hold an afternoon of
movies 1 p.m. today in the
synagogue. Ruach will
meet in the choir room,
while Ha-Or members gath-
er in the youth lounge. Pass-
over refreshments will be
served, and friends are in-
vited.

Brothers Compete in Bible Contest

Brothers Michael and
Daniel Cohen, and Eyal
Tzeel and Maureen Schrei-
ber will compete in the Na- .
tional Bible Contest in May
in New York= sponsored by
the World Zionist Organiza-
tion.
The two brothers had top
scores in their respective di-
visions this year and each
had previously participated
in the district finals. Daniel
is a student at Hillel Day
School, while his brother is
a graduate of Hillel Day
School and a student in - the
high school of the United
Hebrew Schools.
