Detroit Symphony Orches-
tra's Weekend Pops con-
certs 8:30 p.m. April 15 and
3:30 p.m. April 17 at Ford
Auditorium.
Trumpeter "Doc" Severi-
nsen, who was originally
scheduled to perform at the
April concerts, will appear
instead with the DSO dur-
ing its Cabaret Pops series
in May.

Gorne Heads Nominating. Unit Flint Jewish Council Head
of Flint Community Council
Seeks Help for Soviet Jews

Dr. Saul Gorne, _ past pres-
ident of the Flint Jewish
Community Council, has
been named chairman of
the Council's nominating
committee, announced Mur-
ray Moss, FJCC president.
The committee also in-
cludes Louis Epstein, Mimi
Goldstein, Kay Melet, Ed-
ward Powers, Robert Segar
and Gloria Siegel.
The committee will re-
port its recommendations
at the May board meeting.

Meanwhile, the Council
board will introduce a mo-
tion providing for two
amendments to the FJCC,
constitution. One would re-
duce the number required
for a quorum—from 25 to
20—while the second would
establish the chairmen of
